:: Knowing the mosquito ::

The Aedes aegypti mosquito is the main responsible for the transmition of the Yellow Fever's virus and the dengue's one. It has, generally, from three to six millimeters of length, and it can be recognized because of its soft brown coloration and its small spots of a white-silver coloration at the abdomen, clearly visible with the naked eye.

(1) – At the thorax (upper part behind the head where the wings are found) two lateral curve bands can be noted, also silver (2). When they are in rest, they lay down with the last two legs, in a raised way (3), when the visualization of small white points (4), in the whole leg, is easy.

(2) – Only the females suck blood and, in this way, they prick at the first hours of the morning (from 7 to 10 o'clock) or at the end of the afternoon (from 16 to 19 o'clock), having preference for the feet or for the inferior part of the legs.
